AS 4084-2023 Compliance, Load Ratings and Safety

All steel storage racking in Australia must be designed, installed and maintained to AS 4084-2023. In Victoria, WorkSafe expects every racking system to have:

• Load rating signs on each bay showing the safe working load.
• Correct installation to the manufacturer’s specifications, including floor fixing.
• Regular inspections: a formal inspection by a competent person at least every 12 months, plus regular in-house checks.

We handle the whole job, so you deal with one team from first measure to final sign-off:

1. Site visit and measure: we assess your floor, ceiling height, forklifts and stock profile.
2. Design: a detailed AutoCAD racking layout showing bay sizes, aisle widths and load ratings.
3. Supply: Australian-made Colby racking (we’re an authorised distributor), used racking, or custom-fabricated components from our Dingley Village workshop.
4. Installation: professional pallet racking installation by our own crews, fixed and signed to AS 4084-2023.
5. Add-ons: mezzanine floors, line marking, safety barriers and racking protection.
